Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

After having searched for a solution for my problem on many forums, I'm still unable to help my Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 in Firefox 14.0.1 crashing all the time when I try to watch a video, e.g. on vimeo, but only on mouse movement or keystroke on the keyboard.
After reloading the site, the video loads ok and I am able to start the playback, but moving the mouse, e.g. to the maximize button, instantly crashes Flash.
My guess is, it having something to do with compiz or one of its plugins, but I've checked ubuntu's recommended compiz setup for hints and found no clue. Videos from youtube are working ok, though.
I'm thankful for any help.

Would love to help, but would also like to have some sort of information of what happens when the "crash" occurs. Unfortunately, tried a reproduction of as-stated case, and can only state the sad but true, works for me.

Suggestion here to assist in gathering something that may point to a cause in the failure: Install a Firefox extension called : Firebug (hopefully you are familiar with web development of some sort)

1) Go to website
2) Have firebug Console open for viewing All
3) When Errors occur, something will show in the Console

Then, at least you have somewhere to start. Hope that helps. Once you have some more information, then there will be something that can point to the cause of the error in your browser. More than likely a conflict with an extension, but one can never be certain until there is something that tells us what is occurring.
