I'm trying to set the auto-hide-size to 0 which used to be in gconf-editor and now is in dconf-editor.

The setting is

org.gnome.gnome-panel.layout.toplevels.toplevel-1.auto-hide-size

When I change the option to 0 nothing happens. When I logout and log back in I don't the option is set back to 1.

I did notice that the settings are correct for my panels i.e one has auto-hide checked and the other does not but under the settings it says Schema: No schema?

Any idea how I can change this?
