I have Ubuntu x64 12.04 on an AMD Phenom (64bit), an ATI Radeon HD 4800 and I installed the proprietary driver from ATI / AMD. All smooth except for the fact that if I try to start amdcccle (from terminal or alt + f2) the process starts (I see in tasks), but no window appears, and the terminal does not throw anything out. My intention would be to force enable TV output. Thank you in advance for the answers!
