On Xubuntu and Ubuntu 12.04, I cannot install the device using hplip from synaptic and / or the downloaded hplip run file from hp sourceforge.
In the USB version it works fine and I have used the option of IP address including port 9100.
Hopefully there is someone out there that has resolved the same issue. I have researched the Internet now for 2 days with no joy.
