I would like to know how to avoid overheating on my CPU everytime I use my webcam on Skype. I have an HP Pavilion DV6 with an AMD 64, and I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

Thanks

When did you change thermal paste on CPU? And also clear up your laptop cooling system? – arhimed Jul 23 '12 at 21:56
What about air dusting out all the fans and internals of the system? Also make sure you run the system where there is good air flow. – mdpc Jul 23 '12 at 22:02
You might want to provide information about the current environment you are in to get higher quality of information. All we can do is speculate....seems strange though that you'd be overheating your CPU when running an application. – mdpc Jul 23 '12 at 22:03
