I installed 12.04 on a different partition than my current working 11.10.

The problem is that I don't have any option to choose the new installation.

When running the installation thumb drive, it says that I have 2 versions installed (11.10 and 12.04) and offers to install ubuntu 'alongside them'.

How can I make the new installation boot?

I'll explain some more. /dev/sda1 has 11.10. /dev/sda3 has 12.04. What's now? – kilaka Jul 22 '12 at 16:31
I deleted 12.04 and installed it again. Now grub asks me what kernel to run. Thanks for the help anyhow. – kilaka Jul 22 '12 at 18:48
