While downloading a larger file, Ubuntu 12.04 will stop after few minutes. If I pause then resume it will continue to download again. I have to keep pausing then resuming again to get the full download. It has nothing to do with the power saver options because it will happen even when the PC is in use.

It's on auto connect. I do not see any sleep feature for this. – Kev Jul 19 '12 at 21:50
It's more like a time out, I guess. I don't really notice while on the net unless downloading or after a pc sleep it gets messed more. It's on a wired connection through a router and don't think it has anything to do with the router either. I really don't want to setup manually since it works fair enough but a pain for downloads. – Kev Jul 19 '12 at 22:06
