Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

I was running 13.0.1 with related language pack (Italian) installed and my Thunderbird was completely translated into my language.

Suddenly folders names turn back in English (Inbox - Unified Folders, Drafts, Templates, Sent, Archives, Junk, Trash, Outbox) while almost everything else remained correctly translated.

I'm sure it's not related to an update, because it started to happen during my 13.0.1 use, and not since its installation.

The issue persists with Thundebird 14.0.

I've noticed this happening whenever there is a Thunderbird update. Have you tried restarting Thunderbird? I've found I need to do this every time after an update, and it works for me.

It started a lot of time AFTER 13.0.1 update, never before. Restarting does not help. –  jasmines Jul 18 '12 at 19:29
In that case, I'd suggest submitting a bug –  David Planella Jul 19 '12 at 6:08
