I just bought a new PC, and after some problems with installing the correct graphical drivers I managed to get this work. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit) with kernel version 3.2.0-26-generic.

Around twice to three times a day Ubuntu completely crashes. If I run music (radio) the last sounds repeats every time and I cannot do anything, switching to the console with CTRL + shift + F1 etc doesn't work, only a reboot works.

I am not really a die-hard into Gnome/Unity and kernel stuff but where should I begin to debug this problem? What could I try to solve this? Upgrade the kernel?
