I have a Toshiba Satellite L850, and I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.

I can't get the screen dimming to work. I go into the settings, and then Brightness and Lock, change the dim level, but nothing changes. The next time I open the Brightness and Lock screen, it's returned to full brightness.
