I've tried to install device driver of USB Modem D-Link DWM-156 on Ubuntu 12.04 using Gdebi. It installed. But the system didn't detect the modem. I had previously installed the same driver on Ubuntu 10.04 and 11.10 successfully.

After that I removed the driver. And again installed the same .deb package by using dpkg. It shows the installation is successful. But there is an error in postinst file. I extracted the debian package (.deb file).

The part showing error in the postinst file is:

 if [ ! -f /usr/bin/sendatcommandTodevicesdlink.sh ]; then
echo there is an erro, please reinstall

What does it mean? How can I make the usb modem work?

It detects the D-Link modem. But not on action. Why?
