I have upgraded Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04 . After that I am trying to start the system and got the following error. I think that the system crashed.

mountall: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lib.so.6: version 'GLIBC_2.14' not found (required)
by /lib/libply.so.2
General error mounting filesystems.
A maintenace shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and reboot the system.
