I am relatively new to Ubuntu, and I'm having trouble with the computer not recognizing my USB hard drive. It is an 80GB (I can't remember the manufacturer). I am running Ubuntu 12.04 on a Dell Inspiron 600m. I have been through every answer I could Google to no avail.
Please help!
dmesg | tail -20. Run that about 10 seconds after plugging the device into your computer and (if it's not already on) turning it on. After running that, please runsudo fdisk -landmount, and add the output of those commands too. – Eliah Kagan Jul 7 '12 at 12:12
