I like to use wallpapers from Interfacelift but not all the wallpapers are my screens resolution and I was wondering what the best/easiest method would be to resize then to fit onto my resolution. I tried installing the nautilus resize extension but it never showed up and I've heard abit about Phatch, but that it was no longer being developed.

2. If available, the easiest option is to download the right size in the first place.InterfaceLift, the site you prefer, has LOTS of options for download sizes, which almost surely includes your screen size. If you select the right size when downloading, that's the easiest method:

Since , the question has been already answered , but i would like suggest it without resizing , you can make your Wallpaper to fill the screen from the Right Click change Desktop background options. You can try the I am only suggesting this method , for you to save the trouble of resizing every image you considered to be background.

Use Gimp and resize the image. Alternatively you could also install Gwenview. Both work great. |
