Ok, so I downloaded the iso torrent of Ubuntu from the site. After downloading it, I burn the iso onto a CD-R. So after choosing to install Ubuntu, when it's finished installing the CD Boot Helper, I got a error saying something about permission denied. What can I do to fix this? I am using a windows XP

Permission denied when installing Ubuntu ?

Is it on Windows with the installer (Wubi) or with the Live CD installer ?

If it is on Windows :

  • Try to install it in a session which gets Administrator privileges.
  • If you still get this message, run Wubi as Administrator.
