I have a netbook running ubuntu. the ubuntu software center is too slow and I like add/remove applications more than I do the ubuntu software center or Synaptic Manager Manager.Because I like the check-boxes to install or to uninstall. The Synaptic Manager have a menu drop down when I click on it and that take too long and it doesn't have applications Icon unlike add/remove applications. when I try fedora I like the add/remove applications because it's the best one for me but how do I get on ubuntu 12.04? Please help me

The package you are looking for is called gnome-app-install. Install it with

sudo apt-get install gnome-app-install

Hope that it still works.
