Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free.

I am writing a book and publishing parts of it in pdf format.

I would keep the same link for all atualizations.

How to do it ?

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. Just to clarify: you're referring to the public URL for a file published via Ubuntu One here, right? –  James Henstridge Jul 2 '12 at 2:06
You really should edit your question to be more precise. What sort of link do you mean? What does it have to do with Ubuntu One? What do you mean by "keep the same link"? –  con-f-use Aug 20 '12 at 11:32

In general, that can't be guaranteed, BUT if you upload the file using the Web UI, it should always be republished with the same URL.

Guaranteeing that when uploading via the sync clients is much harder and error prone (basically, you need to only publish it from one device, and use cp to overwrite the old version with the new one, and republish after every overwrite)
