I installed ubuntu 12 and I can't find any wireless connections.

The best part is that, fallowing next link tutorial I've managed to turn my wireless card into a router, providing internet connections for other devices, but I can't find an wireless connection if I need to connect to internet with my laptop:

Can anyone help with this problem? Thanks in advance!

If your system's wifi card is configured to work as a router, it is likely managed by the system and not by Network manager. Does Network Manager say "Device not managed" or similar? – The Lord of Time Jun 29 '12 at 12:49
Yes well. I have allready figure out and modified NetworkManager.conf "sudo gedit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf".... managed=true. For a moment I was able to see wifi network connections, but I can not connect to internet throgh hostapd, though the connection is still there. I'm afraid not to mess up everything... – Daniel Jun 29 '12 at 15:18
It's all clear now. If I want my wireless card to act as a router I change NetworkManager.conf "managed = false" and reboot, and if I want to search for wifi networks I change "managed" atribute to "false"(managed = false) and reboot. – Daniel Jun 29 '12 at 18:09
