On Ubuntu 12.04 (LTS), I am trying to do an apt-get upgrade to the latest releases but I am getting :

Setting up python-crypto (2.4.1-1ubuntu0.1) ...
Illegal instruction (core dumped)
dpkg: error processing python-crypto (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 232
Errors were encountered while processing:
 python-crypto
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

What can I do to fix it?

I have tried the suggestions in the with two votes here :

apt-get install error

but I get the same error.

The same as for this :

Package operation failed when installing software

dpkg --configure -a gives :

Setting up python-crypto (2.4.1-1ubuntu0.1) ...
Illegal instruction (core dumped)
dpkg: error processing python-crypto (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 232
Errors were encountered while processing:
 python-crypto

Try running sudo dpkg --configure -a and post the output here. – Aaron Jun 29 '12 at 12:05
@Aaron I've added it. – Tim the Enchanter Jun 29 '12 at 12:13
What is the error you get when you run sudo apt-get remove --purge python-crypto – Aaron Jun 29 '12 at 12:15
@Aaron it prompts me to continue, and seems to work (no errors reported). – Tim the Enchanter Jun 29 '12 at 12:50
