I am facing a problem in Ubuntu Server 12.04 LTS AMD 64bit Installation. I am currently using Acer Aspire AO722 that is provided with AMD C-50 processor. This netbook doesnot come with a CDROM. I tried to boot through a KINGSTON G3 8gb usb. During restarting, system gets stuck at the point where is asks for 'Press F2 for boot device selection'. I tried it several times but this bug remains as it is... It only resumes starting PC when USB is removed. USB was made bootable with UNetBootIn. Please help on urgent basis. Thanks

have you actually pressed F2? – Merlin Jun 26 '12 at 19:19
If UNetBootIn made the USB (formatted it, too?), it is probably working. Did you try different USB ports? Sometimes, USB sticks show up as USB HDD in boot menus, too. – Chris K Jun 26 '12 at 21:34
Yeah, I did try with changing ports, booting again and again... – Ali Tanveer Jun 27 '12 at 19:00
does the keyboard have "fn" keys in order to access the "F2" button, where pressing fn+F2 would be needed? – mateo_salta Mar 11 at 23:03
