I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a laptop, and I need Internet Download Manager.deb file so that I can install it. Please provide me the link download this file.
Now, keeping that in mind, Wget is the Ubuntu default download manager. It’s a utility for downloading files from the web, and it doesn’t require the user's attention. Since Wget is the Ubuntu default download manager, you already have it installed. Just press Ctrl+Alt+T on your keyboard to open Terminal. When it opens, run the command below to get an idea of the options.
Another option is Steadyflow, to install it Just press Ctrl+Alt+T on your keyboard to open Terminal. When it opens, run the command below.

Try installing Internet download manager's old version 5.05 through wine in Ubuntu. Though it doesn't integrate with the browsers of Ubuntu, but will definitely connect to internet. Try and copy the download link and then use it through "add URL" option in IDM. Later version of IDM's are not supported as they don't connect to internet through Wine. |
