I am new to this OS and it's my first time using it. My software center is stuck at Enabling component of the distribution (what ever that means) I tried to cancel it but it's now stuck so I tried to remove and reinstall the software center via the command

sudo apt-get install --reinstall software-center

I got this reply

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Please help?
