I've been trying to get a dual monitor setup to work on Ubuntu 12.04 all day and I think I'm just going to give up.

My specs:

  • Amd Athlon 7550
  • Integrated Geforce 6150 SE
  • Amd Radeon HD 6570
  • 3 GB of RAM

On first boot, the boot menu gives me an "Input out of range" error for a few moments before booting into Ubuntu. At first, Ubuntu seems to recognise both monitors, but then defaults to my integrated GPU. After logging into Ubuntu 2D (The other option constantly gave me a black screen), any attempt at installing drivers (either through system settings or manually) upon reboot will give me the "Input out of range" error on the integrated GPU's monitor while the 6570 stays asleep and won't go away until I reinstall the OS.

I apologise for my English and my relatively newness to Ubuntu.
