Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Stuff used:
Dell optiplex 760
Ubuntu 12.04
Belkin 150 wireless micro usb adapter

It's weird because when the live cd was running, my wireless network was actually found automatically using the usb adapter (no other device in this Dell to receive wireless) and I could just type in the password of my homenetwork which got accepted and ubuntu proceeded the install. Must say I didn't follow the install until the end.

I also looked up to see if my usb adapter would be recognized typing lsusb in the terminal. No problem there as my usb adapter was listed fine in my terminal window.
