ubuntu sees Samsung, o SyncMaster 753v 17 as laptop and boots out of screen syncronicity. I go to monitors and try detect monitor yet it ubuntu offers only THE LAPTOP possibility assuming my monitor is laptop when that is not the case. Puppy Linux 5.2.8 boots alright and install all intell drivers without problems, now and then I know it is not the monitor itself, but UBUNTU that is failing to acknowledge my old monitor which works flawlessly in puppy linux. What should I do? I booted linuxmint-13-mate-dvd-64bit from ISO and it also didnt enter graphical mode, the screen got locked displaying: OFF SYNCRONICITY and I had to enter control alt del and click enter and reboot without being able look in the screen and had to go dead reckoning to reboot the computer.
