My Compaq Presario CQ42 laptop battery is not working well with Ubuntu 12.04. But there is no problem in Ubuntu 10.04. Sometimes it shows percentage, sometimes remaining time, but charge reduces suddenly if I close the lid.
The battery's charge reduces as follows:
100% charged battery after two minutes shows 1hr:30min remaining
then after 2 minutes time remaining is 1hr:24min
after 10mins if i just close lid and opened then shows 64% remaining .....
How can I solve this problem?
