I have a Compaq Presario CQ57-435EQ laptop, and i don't know how to enable Bluetooth. Can anyone help me? I have Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and i used it for weeks, still using it.

Try enabling your Bluetooth device in your laptops BIOS. That fixed it for my Thinkpad x60. – Naseschwarz Jun 15 '12 at 18:04

Idk what to choose in bios but here is what i get when i terminal "rfkill list" 1: hp-bluetooth: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: yes posted the bluetooth only – Tibi Jun 16 '12 at 13:54

Didn't know my hardware switch was Fn+Alt+F12. Now it works. Anyway thanks for trying. Sorry for long reply but I needed to reinstall my system, and forgot about the whole thing. – Tibi Jan 6 at 17:38

It may not have bluetooth. I have two computers the one that I use is a CQ57-229WM and my other is a CQ57-339WM. I have heard that some models in the CQ57 Series have bluetooth and other do not. Check on the the HP website--they should have more information.
