Since last update, there's a couple of programs that log me out when I'm launching them. The two are Maya and VirtualBox.

The problem seams to be with the NVidia driver. So I removed nvidia-* and all the "nouveau" drivers. I manually install different version of the driver (going back to 275.43 don't know why, but it works for 'xro'). But even with this one, that should be fine, I still have this problem.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this ? I really need VBox and Maya to work (yes it's on my computer at work). For Maya, before it crashes, there's some messages about GLX, but I cannot take a note of them... it's crashing too fast.

Any suggestion ?

  • This morning, I reinstalled nvidia-current. Now I have the last driver 302.17. But even this one causes the same problem. What am I missing here ? Would it be better to reinstall and just keep the default drivers ?

  • I tried this downgrading nvidia-current and naturally, it doesn't work. Maya and VBox are still crashing the system and forcing it to the login screen!

  • I also tried to replace the driver with one suggestion in the "Additional Drivers", still as bad. Is there a way to come back the version I had a week ago before everything crashed ?
