I Recently Built a Computer with a total of three 1000Mbps Ethernet connections and I was Wondering if i could set one connection to an INPUT ONLY and another to OUTPUT ONLY. I was also wondering if i could force certain programs to use only one connection.

so condensed...

  1. can an Ethernet connection be set to INPUT/OUTPUT (DOWNLOAD/UPLOAD) ONLY?

  2. can programs be forced to use a certain connection and blocked from using others?

Yes to all questions, but unless you have a differen switch/network for each interface, you wouldn't gain that much. And to be able to tell what, you should state your goal and describe the networks you want the computer to connect to. The mother board in question doesn't give us any relevant information. – Anders Jun 14 '12 at 22:34
