Kate doesn't seem to properly reloat AutoBrace settings upon restart. That is, each time I start Kate, I go to Settings->Extensions and enable AutoBrace (and edit some settings). I use it when I code in Java. Now, after closing Kate and reopening, it seems that Kate forgets previous settings: AutoBrace is not enabled. I checked katerc, and all seems fine there. I checked on a different computer, and all is fine (so the problem is certainly not with Kate). I am wondering, whether there might be something in the configuration that is inducing this behavior.

About my system: Kubuntu 12.04, with Kate 3.8.3 on KDE 4.8.3.

This is strange, but after deleting all of the Kate's config files and reinstalling Kate, the problem is resolved. The only problem that remains now, is that Kate doesn't remember some custom keyboard shortcuts for the plugin Build. – William Jun 13 '12 at 0:41
