U12.04 Grub’s release bug ??

I have a notebook with grub2 dual boot wxp-ubuntu. Every thing was right until now. After updating my GRUB1.99 with Ubuntu 12.04 distro, I begin having some problems with some keyboard keys, at the grub boot’s menu screen: INTRO didn’t work; instead, I needed SHIFT+INTRO ; Key “e” doesn’t work, And others similar...

After that, I thought it should be something wrong with the grub’s keyboard initial configuration, so I did some changes in the grub files. I did something wrong and I went to a grub rescue prompt, and later on, doing more wrong things, I lost boot availability. Then I did more (wrong things, again), and finally I corrupted file system and lost Windows and everything I had on HD. My local configuration was Spanish keyboard and language, and grub works right with it in previous grub 1.98, 1.99 releases. The fault came with latest grub's upgrade in ubuntu 12.04’s grub release

Now I think the problem’s origin was just that the default keyboard configuration, after updating grub (pangolin’s grub 1.99), is not right established in this grub release.

So I think it’s a bug and I warn you to fix it.

Jmv: You should file a bugreport about this issue, see askubuntu.com/questions/5121/how-do-i-report-a-bug, so that developers see it and try to reproduce and fix it. Askubuntu is for asking and answering question, it is not the proper place to ask for a fix. – Javier Rivera Jun 8 '12 at 13:42
