Xchat never appears in the application switcher.

I use Ubuntu 2012.04 with Unity, very few tweaks.

Always reproducible with these steps:

  1. Open Xchat
  2. Press ALT-TAB
  3. Result: Xchat is not displayed in the application switcher, see screenshot

Xchat window does not appear in switcher

Any idea what could be causing this?

If I switch to a full-screen terminal and then reduce this terminal, then Xchat just disappears. It can't be seen on any workspace (checked using workspace switcher), but the process is still running. Is there command-line way to raise an existing window?

On a side note, I can't replicate your bug. Is your system fully updated? – jokerdino Jun 7 '12 at 6:42
Oh, so that is a reported bug! Great answer, thanks! (side note: yes fully updated) – Nicolas Raoul Jun 7 '12 at 6:45
looks like the Unity in precise-proposed has a fix for this problem. That's why I couldn't replicate your bug.. – jokerdino Jun 7 '12 at 6:49
