Is it possible to install an callto protocol handler that opens empathy (with SIP)?

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 with empathy 3.4.1, telepathy-sofiasip 0.7.1-2 and firefox 12.

I know how to add an item to /usr/share/applications/defaults.list and create the .desktop but i couldn't find a way to start an empathy SIP call by command line.
