This is driving me insane. Rhythmbox is cataloging some songs in its DB with the wrong name or artist or album title. It seems to be a random thing, and uses a name from some other song, artist, or album, as replacement. What's insane, is that when I check the actual file (.flac's or .mp3's), it's actually altered the file itself. It just messed up a lot of files this way over the past week.

For example. The Beatles song "Little Child", is suddenly listed in Rhythmbox as "Little Me". When I go to the file, which used to be named "The Beatles - Little Child.flac", it's now "The Beatles - Little Me.flac" and the meta data in the file about the song is altered to reflect this too.

Anyone know what's happening here? I originally noticed the program was changing names when it would load up a new bunch of songs, but lately I'm noticing it's doing that without loading up new songs into its DB AND it's actually altering the meta info in the file as well as the filename.

I'm using Rhythmbox 2.96 on Ubuntu 12.04.
