This is for a school project. I need to configure a simple server that provides DNS, HTTP, FTP and DHCP. Since I don't like tinkering with the config text files, I decided to use webmin instead.

However after successfully configuring these services, after a system reboot they won't work, and I already tried using the terminal to restart the services myself.

So, I'm quite lost.

WebMin was in Ubuntu until 5.10 Breezy Badger, and was then dropped because it is not compatible with the way that Ubuntu packages handle configuration files, and caused unexpected issues with people's systems. See https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/2873 for more background.

Never mind, i found the problem! :D It turns out webmin somehow messed with the interface address after the system was reeboted. Now everything works after a couple clicks. Will post the infor later – David Elizalde May 29 '12 at 16:05
