I disassembled my black MacBook 1,1 CoreDuo and installed ubuntu server 12.04 on it. Using ssh I can use the vbetool dams command to switch the LCD screen on and off remotely.
But this only works for a few minutes after startup. When the screen goes to sleep by it self, or after being turned off for some time I can't wake it up again.
Ani ideas why this happens?
