I am running 12.04, and when I plug my HDMI cable between my laptop and TV, it gives me static, like you would see in the old TV sets where a channel wasn't playing anything, except this static is...well...static. No sound, and the fuzz isn't moving.
Any ideas how I would remedy this? I know the HDMI capability is supported on my laptop, because when I run Windows, it works fine.
