Last day I made an original installation of Ubuntu 12.04. By original intallation, I meant installation from the iso rather than an upgrade.

I am facing some weird problems. They are :- a) I get an error message "Ubuntu 12.04 suffered an internal error". Why is it so ? From some forums, I understood that, it is possible to disable the Apport to prevent the error messages. Even if I disable the error messages, I am sure that, errors occur in the background.

b) Also, sometimes the screen goes blank, and freezes. I will have to remove the laptop battery to restart the machine. Why is it so?

Do you suggest me still using the Ubuntu 11.10 over the 12.04 version?
Does the 11.10 version also generates such internal errors in the background ?

The individual parts of your question should instead be filed as bug reports, and as such is off-topic, thanks! Instructions on filing a bug report are here. – Jacob Johan Edwards May 24 '12 at 18:41
As for whether you should change versions or not, advice for individual circumstances are not usually considered to be a good fit for Ask Ubuntu's Q&A format. – Jacob Johan Edwards May 24 '12 at 18:44

Im facing the same problem. I think it may be related to the hardware you have it may be uncompatible with the ubuntu 12.04 requirments.

Can you be more specific? Which hardware? What issues? – david6 May 24 '12 at 5:54

In my case the prob was the Nvidia video card. Maybe the problem is not the same for all of us. – user61928 May 24 '12 at 10:08
To know if your system satisfies you must check it in the Ubuntu Certified hardware. ubuntu.com/certification – user61928 May 24 '12 at 10:11
