I have been running 11.10 all fine. I did a fresh install from a Linux Ubuntu 12.04 LTS disc. Since then when I restart my PC, it does not connect to the internet. I am using a wired connection. I have to go into my Network Settings, disconnect and then reconnect each time I turn my pc on. It is set to connect automatically but obviously does not.

PC is a Emachine 3220. Router is Belkin F5D9630-4A.

Any help appreciated.

Here is my system log:

Are there any useful messages in /var/log/syslog? – irrational John May 14 '12 at 7:52
Welcome to Ask Ubuntu! We need more hardware information to help you, can you look at this question and then edit your question adding the information? – Jorge Castro May 15 '12 at 1:16
Well, this time I logged in as 2D at the log in screen. Connected automatically to the internet this time and obviously PC runs faster now :-) – Jase May 16 '12 at 5:03
Hmmm....problem again. Turned PC on this morning, not connected to the internet. Had to disconnect and recomnect through network manager – Jase May 18 '12 at 5:16

Can you add this information as an edit to your original question, rather than posting it as an answer, thanks :) – coversnail May 20 '12 at 6:39
