I want to use all fonts that come with ubuntu in image magic. I followed this guide to set it up. But it gives an error and only one default font gets used while generating images.

I did a wget for imagick_type_gen and created a ~/.magick directory. And I ran this command: imagick_type_gen > ~/.magick/type.xml, it generated a type.xml file in .magick directory. And I tried this command identify -list Type | grep American, and it shows up nothing. I have installed msttcorefonts but using fonts like Sheer Beauty or Candice gives error that font was not found.

You need to give us the error, the instructions in the linked ask as correct and known to work. – Martin Owens -doctormo- Nov 17 '10 at 6:53

Please try to give an adequate amount of information so that there is hope of answering your question. State exactly what commands you used. State exactly what error message you received. The commands you link to work for me. – frabjous Nov 17 '10 at 6:57

Hey, did you ever get this to work? Or get new and spectacular errors you want to share? – belacqua Feb 15 '11 at 4:22
