After updating from 10.04 to 12.04 through the Update Manager I get the black screen shown here photo of the boot process...

At that point I can hear the Login Screen's drums and the mouse pointer shows up! In order to be able to login, I have to press Ctrl+Alt+F7 twice and the Log-In Screen displays normally. After login in no other nothing strange happens!

Kernel version is 3.3.4-030304-generic-pae (installed through deb package manually) and this problem does not occur under 2.6.x kernel series...How will I make the Log-in Screen to show up instead of this black one...?
