When I try to open UbuntuOne at my Windows 7 PC I get this Message:

Ubuntu One experienced an error
Sorry, an error has occurred and Ubuntu One needs to close.

'ordinal not in range(128)'

I think there is a Problem with the "ö" in my Name and so also in the Path of the UbuntuOne Folder.

Please try again with version 3.0.0 which we released yesterday.

... just to clarify, I'm the Engineering manager for the Desktop+ group in Online Services at Canonical and this issue should be fixed with this version.
