Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Which Scheme interpreter or Compiler do you suggest for learning the language? I will be reading from Dybvigs "The Scheme Programming Language" book (probably the third rather than the fourth edition) and the Little Schemer. I have installed Guile and was considering adding the Petite Chez Scheme interpreter. Another option would be the PLT-Scheme which I did not warm up to in the past or MIT Scheme.

Any other suggestions, feedback or input?

This isn't the correct Stack Exchange site to ask questions about programming . However, it would be on-topic at the Stackoverflow Exchange. – fossfreedom May 4 '12 at 17:47
Trust me, it would be closed in 2 minutes on StackOverflow, or at least that has been my experience. This will be used on an Ubuntu (12.04) machine if it matters. – haziz May 4 '12 at 17:51
