With dual monitor setup, LXDE displays both screens, but Unity and Gnome start-up then the main screen goes into power saving mode.

I am running AMD Radeon drivers, latest from the vendor, not Ubuntu repositor. They work fine, except that after login into Unity or Gnome, the main screen turns off (seems to not get a signal any more) while the second screen stays on. While in LXDE everything works fine.

Any way I can debug this, or ayone else experience this?
