I was using Empathy earlier, however it crashed. When I tried to start it up again, I received an error about not being able to connect to the account manager.
The terminal posts the following output:

ps aux | grep telepathyafter starting empathy and checking to see if it is running. Telepathy does a lot of the heavy lifting. – John S Gruber May 19 '12 at 2:03
