I tried upgrading from 11.04 to 12.04.After install was completed and restart occurred, everything starts off fine then hangs permanently after splash screen. I tried using all the option in the recover console still to no avail. I have tried pressing the space bar after the splash screen but still get nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Please answer fully without shorthand because I have only been using ubuntu for 1year.

HP Pav Dv7 Intel Cor 2 Duo CPU P8600@2.40Ghz Ram 4GB 64bit
