Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

So I was upgrading my computer from Ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04, it was about half way through with the upgrade when the plug got disconnected (by accident) and now it "can't" finish those upgrades. I can't choose upgrade to 12.04 in the update manager anymore but still I am not running on 12.04. Any ideas? I hope I do not need to make a clean install.

Did you run in the terminal sudo dpkg --configure -a –  wojox Apr 27 '12 at 13:33

The upgrade manager always tells me now that it couldn't upgrade and asks if I want to use part upgrade, but that always ends in an error. Only way to get any upgrades is to not choose part upgrade and hope for the best :S –  Ólafur Víðir May 9 '12 at 11:04
