I was using windows XP and had 160GB divided into 6 drives.

After I put UBUNTU 11.0 I lost all the data on disk and I don't see any old data ....

How to get the old data.

After putting UBUNTU I did not put any software and used system very less no of times...

Thanks

data recovery is usually a messy and painful process. how valuable was all the previous information to you? Is there anything that you cannot possibly lose? If it's just stuff that can be reinstalled, then it will be much faster to reinstall it then recover it. – eltommo Apr 27 '12 at 9:30

this is a LiveCD which can do the job for you. But it has no links with Windows since it is a LiveDistro. So you can recover "anything" using this Distro. "Ubuntu-Rescue-Remix"
