I have tried several times to install 12.04, first the beta, and now the full release, but each time, after a successful install, when rebooting, it just takes me to a pink screen where I cannot do anything anymore.

I have tried recovering the system with a Live USB, but I don't know enough to know what to fix. I am guessing it has to do with the changes made to Grub? Or might it be something else? Is there anything you think I could do?

Oh, and I can't switch to console if that is an important bit of information...

Thanks for your help!

Have you saw login screen? Have you enabled Autamatic login? What is the output of alt+ctrl+f1 – Tachyons Apr 27 '12 at 9:43
I didn't see it, and wasn't able to switch to console... I clean installed 11.10 again, and straight went for the upgrade, and now it's running fine... won't be able to replicate the issue I think. Question can be closed. – bisi Apr 27 '12 at 12:32
