I have an extra 120gb hdd. It will not pick up. just shows the sata bridge instead of hdd connected to it. trying to install linux on my flashdrive. i dont have any cd's to boot from etc. broke college student just wanting to put linux on the extra hdd and run it, play with linux some and stuff..... any guide on this? Anyway to walk me thru this? I still want windows for my word documents, powerpoint, etc..... will still keep windows on my internal hdd.

Just be careful of where you install Linux, do backup data first (just in case).
